"We had 19 people (18 ladies and 1 guy) from Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Florida, and Washington, DC, but those pictured are only those who came from Arizona. We took this picture a week after participating in the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco, CA on Oct. 17, 2010, where most completed the half-marathon and we had 4 brave women who completed the full-marathon. We hope that our experience will inspire others to engage in some type of physical activity and realize the importance of their physical health. We had some runners who could hardly run a mile and completed a half-marathon. We had some new runners who even completed the full-marathon.
