Can't believe we are going to States!!!

"As first time coaches for a Destination Imagination Team, my husband and I no idea what we were getting into by volunteering to help seven gifted and talented students take on the DI Challenges. These 2nd-4th graders took 2nd place at the Northwestern/Northern Virginia Regional Competition at John Handley High School where they presented their Project Outreach- Real to Reel Challenge Documentary. The Challenge consisted of identifying a real problem in your community and designing a way to help with the problem. These students identified childhood obesity as the problem. They designed and ran a 1/2 mile obstacle course in which over 400 children registered and ran. They enjoyed showing other children in their community that exercise can be fun. They are super excited to wear their team shirts, which they designed on CustomInk at the Virginia state DI competition in April." - Quarles Elementary DI Team (Mar 18, 2013)
