Crushing cancer one step at a time!

"September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month. Our team, Robert's Cancer Crushers participated in the Light the Night Walk that benefits The Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. The walk took place in Queens, NY at Victory Field/ Forest Park on September 20, 2014. Our team was named for our beloved family member (husband, father, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, friend), Robert Kempe, who lost his battle with Lymphoma in October 2012. Robert's daughter, Sisi, came up with the name. She is also our team captain and single handedly raised $1K. Our team raised over $4K and we were one of the top ten team leaders in fundraising. This is our family's way to remember and honor Robert and help raise awareness and funds to help other patients, survivors and families battling cancer.
