Dig for a Cure - Oakland Mills Freshmen Volleyball

"October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as most schools do, we at Oakland Mills High School had a Dig Pink night to try to raise some money and some awareness to not just breast cancer, but all cancer. One of our Varsity players lost their mom last year to colon cancer, and our Varsity coach lost a dear friend to breast cancer. We asked all our fans to stand if they knew someone fighting a battle with cancer, and it was astonishing the number of people that stood. Oakland Mills HS is located in Columbia, Maryland and the Freshmen team was fortunate enough to raise enough donations to make a last minute purchase of the CustomInk t-shirts they are wearing in this photo. They were the talk of the school, the kids loved them and the other teams were quite jealous. The CustomInk team was so helpful - without them there is no way our team would have had such wonderful shirts. They turned these wonderful shirts around and had them delivered in time for the day before the game. We ordered them on Friday and had them the next Wednesday! WOW! Plus they did all the design work! LOVE IT! Thanks so much! OMHS Freshmen Volleyball Girls btw - we won our first game tonight!!!" - Oakland Mills Volleyball (Oct 11, 2013)
