"Milpitas Xtreme Robotics is the official robotics club at the only public high school in Milpitas, so we reach a lot of youth - we help develop the next generation of Silicon Valley engineers! This year, we decided to do something we had never done before, and compete in the 2019 VEX Robotics Competition. A majority of the VEX team had never gone to any tournaments before, but we pushed forward with high hopes and dreams. Milpitas Xtreme Robotics became semifinalists out of 19 teams that day, as well as the winners of the Sportsmanship Award. We were all beyond elated to have done so well at our first VEX tournament, and the excited mass of dark blue shirts from our team did nothing but make the moment all the more memorable. Three cheers to team spirit and a passion for bringing metal to life!"
