EMT Class 2048: Making it Better One Patient At A Time

"People often ask why we volunteer & spend countless hours training when we don't get paid. The weekends spent studying instead of hanging out with friends or practicing skills instead of going to the latest parties. It's for times where your elderly neighbor falls down and can't get up. It's for when your friend or family member is involved in a car crash and they need someone to calmly tell them what's going on as they are extracted from their crumpled cars. It's for when your kids fall of their bikes and break their arm and calms for one second as the nice emts smile at them as they splint their arm. We're here for people and the community in their times of need and worst moments. We hope we never have to be in that situation - but if we do... We're grateful to be trained to help someone in need be it the patient or his/her support system. This is why we volunteer & we're proud of it.
