"We were involved in a charity event for Quantum Leap Farm that was hosted by High Hopes in High Heels Tampa of Tampa .
Quantum Leap Farm was founded in 2000 to serve civilian adults and veterans with mental and physical disabilities by providing therapeutic horseback riding, carriage driving, equine assisted behavioral health services, and a variety of equine experiential learning programs. Today, Quantum Leap Farm participants range in age from 2 to 92 years. They are diagnosed with a variety of conditions including wounds of war: traumatic brain injury, post traumatic stress disorder, and spinal cord injury, as well as neurodegenerative and vascular diseases: Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and stroke; and developmental syndromes: muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome, autism, and cerebral palsy.
