"We created a T-shirt to honor all teachers, family, friends, etc who have had cancer. We made the shirt in Mrs. Rathke's honor, because she went through a tough year last year with chemo and want to help with research to eliminate all cancers. Last year, was my second year and she trusted me enough to tell me that she has Breast Cancer. Last year, we wore bandannas a pink shirts in her honor. I knew in my heart that it was not enough and we decided to go the extra mile designing the shirt this year. Your staff was great, even though we had issues getting a check cut. The picture was taken with Karina Ogawa, American Cancer Society Community Development. We presented her with a check for $177.55. The amount came from ask teacher to pay $10 for their shirt. The picture is the Beulah Park Staff with Mrs. Ogawa in Zion, IL on December 6. " - Beulah Park (Dec 12, 2017)
