"This Christmas break, 38 Fairfield University students and 2 employees traveled to New Orleans to help rebuild homes devastated by Hurricane Katrina. This trip was completely student lead and this is the first time a student lead service project has ever happened at Fairfield. We are a part of the Green Campus Initiative at school and spread our mission to New Orleans when we helped rebuild homes using recycled materials and environmentally friendly products. Our organic custom ink shirts allowed everyone to know why we were in New Orleans."
