Harold's Heroes 2014 Big Climb for Leukemia

"Every year for the past 10 years my family, friends and I have participated in a fundraising event for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society called the Big Climb for Leukemia. The Big Climb happens every year towards the end of March. This year was on March 23rd. The Big Climb is a stairclimb up the Columbia Center - the tallest skyscraper in downtown Seattle Washington. There are 69 flights of stairs, 1311 steps, and 788 feet of vertical elevation. Although it can be challenging, it pales in comparison to what blood cancer patients go through. All proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. I formed a team to participate with me in the Big Climb, consisting of family and friends. Our team name is Harold’s Heroes, after my dad, who died from Leukemia 30 years ago. We participate in the Big Climb every year to honor his memory. On the front of our team shirts is a Super “H” (just like Superman’s “S”). On the back (which cannot be seen in the picture) is our team name and an image of my dad. The artists at CustomInk did an incredible job using a picture of my dad and designing a beautiful rendition of the image. We received a lot of complements on the entire design of the shirt. My overall experience with CustomInk has been tremendous. The customer service is exceptional. Every person I spoke with was extremely helpful and very friendly. I had a specific image that I wanted to get "perfect" on the shirt. Every time I got a proof back to review I called to discuss any changes and the customer service people were very helpful in trying to get it "just right." And even though I was going back and forth, making changes and modifications to the images, my order was delivered earlier than expected.
