"On May 2nd, 2009, 80 tshirts were passed out to friends and family supporting our cause. We walked as a giant team downtown Chicago at Lincoln Park in the PurpleStride 2009. We have lost numerous friends and family to the cause and had a great turnout of support this year. We finished the day with a picnic at our house to thank everyone for their love and support (as shown in photo) We want to thank Customink.com for allowing us our team to stand out among 3,000 other people all wearing the purple tshirts given at the walk. Thanks to Customink.com, we were received much press attention (who even asked where we got our shirt cuz they were awesome---don't worry, we referred them to you!)
