In Ruth We Trust

"This is the staff of the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law, wearing our new CustomInk swag at our weekly Submissions Meeting. CJGL is a multidisciplinary academic journal based at Columbia Law School, which focuses on the advancement of feminist legal scholarship. Columbia's most idolized and recognizable alumna is Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and we are lucky enough to have Justice Ginsburg on our Advisory Board, so when deciding on a slogan for our Journal, we knew it had to be something from her. We found what we were looking for in a 2014 interview that Justice Ginsburg gave in New Republic (http://www.newrepublic.com/article/119578/ruth-bader-ginsburg-interview-retirement-feminists-jazzercise), when she gave her message to this new generation of feminists: "Work for the things that you care about." As a nod to one of our favorite memes of the year, we attributed this quote to Notorious RBG. We are even planning to send one of our shirts to Justice Ginsburg with a copy of our next issue! Our experience working with CustomInk was ***Flawless - we were ordering the same design on both long sleeve shirts and crew neck sweatshirts and Columbia needed to approve parts of the design, so it was a little more complicated than usual, but everyone working on the order was extremely responsive, polite, and helpful.
