"My daughter Jill was killed in a car accident in 2003 and, as a result, became an organ donor. I met her liver recipient and can tell you that is a powerful feeling. Each year, I encourage Jill's friend, Carole's friends and mine to participate in this 5K event in Denver to raise awareness of the need for organ donation and to encourage those on the wait list.
