Keeping Our Coast Clean!

" On September 21st from 9:00 am-Noon, members and employees of The Commons Club at The Brooks will be gathering together on Little Hickory Island, to collect marine debris and trash during the Annual Coastal Cleanup. This annual event draws thousands of concerned citizens throughout the State of Florida, and throughout the world, in collaboration with the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup. This is the only event where trash is collected and recorded by teams of volunteers on data cards. These completed data cards will be sent to the Ocean Conservancy where the information is utilized to develop new environmental protections acts and change behaviors, which cause marine debris to become problematic for marine life. Just a few hours of volunteer efforts can send hundreds of discarded aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and more into the trash and out of the way of marine life on our beaches. This was our first experience with Custom Ink and our t-shirts came out awesome! We really wanted The Commons Club to stand out on the beach for this event and this was the perfect way to make it happen! The website was easy to use and the delivery was quick!
