"Every year, my siblings and I get together to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Our dad was diagnosed in 2014 at the age of 53, and has since become completely dependent on my mother. Alzheimer's is genetic in our family, and for the sake of our kids' futures we owe it to them to do what we can to try to find a cure.
My dad used to be a fun loving, jokester who enjoyed bowling, watching football and hockey, buying scratch tickets, and spending time with his family. Alzheimer's stole all of that from him, and from us. It's not fair, and we plan to walk and raise money until not one more family has to suffer the way we are suffering. "
