Paul "PK" Engman Memorial Tennis Challenge

"Our son, Paul, was gifted both academically and athletically. He played varsity football in the 7th grade, played baseball, and played varsity tennis in the 7th grade. He was very gifted but a very good person, always willing to help someone. Tragically on January 4, 2003 he died in an auto accident on his way home, he was 16 years old. He was to be Virginia Minnesota's #1 singles player in tennis with high hopes of going to state again. We have held this tournament in his honor every year since. We invite two varsity tennis teams from other towns to join the host team Virginia for a fun day of tennis. No scores are kept, one player from one team can play with a player from another or even with the coaches. We serve 'tacos in a bag' for lunch which is Paul's favorite. It is a good family day. Our family provides the shirts for all the players each year which is about 60. " - http://www.virtual-memorials.com/main.php?action=reflections&mem_id=9197, qctfa.com - Kevin Engman (Jul 23, 2013)
