Ping Pong Tourney for Epilepsy!

"This is our 2nd Annual Westchester Classic Ping Pong Tournament, a backyard tournament started by my father back in 1974 with his buddies and we brought it back to life starting last year in 2018! We plan on having the tournament every year in September, on or around our founder, my dad's birthday (this year we had it on his actual birthday) and starting with this year's tournament we'll be using the proceeds and donations from the event to raise money for a specific charity. Shortly before the tournament, a good friend of ours passed away from epilepsy suddenly and unexpectedly, which is why we decided to dedicate the tournament and its proceeds in honor of him and to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation. With this last minute decision, we also decided to create a shirt with a fun tournament design on the back along with the name of the foundation and our friend on the front. We were able to not only sell the shirts to our friends and family playing in the tournament, but also to those in the community who wanted to contribute but could not attend. With such short notice, CustomInk was able to do everything in their power to make sure we received this order in time for out tournament and we couldn't be more grateful for their services and kindness during this process. Not only did I not give them much time in advance to work on our order, but we had issues using the Epilepsy Foundation logo because of understandable copyright issues. Since we didn't have time to go through the approval process, CustomInk proceeded to create an AWESOME front design to replace our original one. Their design ended up bringing the shirt to life even more so than what we had anticipated. I honestly think it MADE the shirt and brought it all together. Needless to say our shirts came out perfectly, everyone LOVED them, and we're still receiving inquiries from folks who wish to purchase a shirt! I honestly thought the shirt was going to be something the players just took home with them like a party favor. But every single person who ordered a shirt in advance changed right away upon receiving the shirt, wore it for the entire day, and are still wearing them. I think we're all wearing these shirts with pride knowing that our friend Jake's name and the foundation are on there. With all the sadness of our loss, this tournament and these shirts really made it feel like we were helping make a difference in our own little way, in his honor, and carrying on his legacy. Our friend Jake would've been at this tournament, and having these shirts really made it feel like he was with all of us on what I would argue was one of the best days of the year so far! We love you Jake and we love you CustomInk!
