Proud Yakimaniacs Take on The Gorge

"The girls in this photo have come from around the country and chosen Yakima as their home. Yakima is a Central WA irrigated desert town based in agriculture. Besides wineries and apples we grow 90% of the country's hops (you can thank us for your IPA!) Everyone is always shocked to find out how many incredible things we have going on in Yakima. Free yoga in the vineyard, craft night at The Beer Shoppe, hiking and rafting and kayaking...all of it is driven by the incredible community of people who have put down roots in this town. When my girlfriends decided to plan a weekend of camping and a half marathon down along the Colombia river, we wanted everyone to know where we hailed from! So our talented graphic designer friend (who also designs for Liberty BottleWorks, one of our local companies) created this beautiful shirt for us, complete with some hops cones. While the boys are off harvesting in the hops fields this month, we ran our hearts out in The Gorge at the Bridge of the Goddess half marathon.
