RAIN-Uganda benefit volunteers

"RAIN-UGANDA (Responding to AIDS and Intervening for the Needy) is an African nonprofit providing HIV testing and cervical cancer screening for rural villagers in eastern Uganda. In the past, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago funded these efforts, but discontinued funding this year. So a group of volunteers (above) organized a Benefit for Uganda, which included brunch, live music, a documentary about a Ugandan fair trade coffee coop, and a yoga class, all held at Lighthouse Yoga studio in Evanston. 100% of funds raised on that day go directly to RAIN-UGANDA! All Benefit volunteers wore lovely RAIN-Uganda t-shirts modelled after one worn by Dr. Samson Wamani in Uganda" - http://rainuganda.shutterfly.com/ - Liz Feldman (Feb 01, 2013)
