"Our family formed team Retinal Degenerates to raise money to support efforts towards finding a cure for blindness. Our mother suffers from Macular Degeneration, a disease that progressively causes blindness over time. There is no cure, but with stem cell research and our fundraising efforts we are so close to finding a cure for do many retinal diseases.
Our mom's vision loss had never hindered her. She runs 5 miles a day, fought breast cancer, and still makes dinner for 100 of our Italian family members every holiday! We are so proud to be her family and to walk in her honor with her name on our backs thanks to customink!"
