"This photograph was taken during the annual "Shannon Pink Ribbon Run/Walk" on Saturday, October 5, 2013. (I am on the back row in the middle) I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer on August 24, 2012. I participated in my first walk last year two days after having a chemo treatment. I started losing my hair that very day. It was a very surreal day for me! I went through 16 rounds of chemotherapy and 25 rounds of radiation after having a unilateral mastectomy. I have been cancer free for 1 year. I pray that I'm able to participate in this wonderful event many more years! "
