Strides Program Graduation Spring 2017

"This photo was taken at the graduation celebration for the spring 2017 Strides program. Implemented through the University of Florida Enactus organization, Strides is a free, 8-week personal & professional development program for underprivileged women in the Gainesville, FL community. This spring, eight women (featured in the photo) came through and graduated the program, gaining the skills and confidence to be successful in their personal and professional lives. Each women was paired with a professional coach who aided in supporting and assisting them throughout the program. Our Strides team, consisting of two project managers and six directors, and project partner, Belinda Smith, founder of Women Working With Women, worked diligently to make the spring 2017 Strides program a true success. With the help from our Walmart Women’s Economic Empowerment Project Partnership grant, our project was able to create one-of-a-kind Strides t-shirts to wear proudly around the Gainesville community. Working with CustomInk to create our project t-shirts has been a great experience from start to finish, with the ease of the t-shirt creation process to the attentive and friendly customer service.
