Supporting Our Soldier

"My boyfriend left for Fort Benning for army basic training on May 18th, 2016. The only communication that we had with our soldier was through letters; phone calls were only given about once a month, if we were lucky. His graduation date had been set for September 2nd and his mom came to me with an idea of getting tshirts for the whole family to wear to show how proud we are of him and his hard work. This was a complete surprise to him. On the day of graduation we all sat together and had many people compliment on what a great idea it was to have the shirts made to show our support. Even though only 14 people made it to graduation, 22 shirts were ordered for members who couldn't make the trip. We are so very proud of him for following his dreams. He is now stationed in Kansas, which is over 1,000 miles away from his family and myself. We ask for everyone's thoughts and prayers as he continues this journey.
