"This is the majority of or Relay for Life Team from our community health center. We have a total of 9 sites, 8 of them clinical, spread out on the East and South end of Hawaii Island. We are a rural health center and many of our staff do not know one another because they are at different sites. As a 14 year breast cancer survivor The American Cancer Society is near and dear to my heart and I thought what a better way to get people together than to have a Relay team. We had a total of 45 team members for our first Relay event in 5 yrs, prior to most of us starting at the clinics. We are already planning next years event! It was great having our shirts to recognize other members and their families we may have not met yet! Our experience with the shirts was beyond great! We are planning a breast cancer walk for October and will definitely be getting our shirts from Custom Ink!! Thank you so much for making my first experience as a team leader such a great one! Oh and we had very good luck that night we doubled our fundraising goal and for the first night in 2 1/2 weeks it didn't rain a drop all night long!!! If any of you know about the East side of Hawaii that is something to celebrate! Thank you again and we'll be getting with you soon to order our shirts for October!"
