"Every year, we participate in the Annual 5k Run/Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer in Long Island which supports the initiatives of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (“NOCC”).
My husband's mom, my mother in law, battled ovarian cancer three times and I believe events like this one help to shine a light on a disease that is all too often swept under the rug. This event will not only help to honor survivors for their strength and courage, but also serve as a day of remembrance and celebration of the remarkable women we have lost.
