Team Jeanette

"Saturday, September 6th was a glorious day in Golden Colorado! Nearly 900 individuals gathered for the Golden Gallop which is a 10K run, 5K walk/run, and a 1K kids fun run to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and to raise money to fight this horrible disease. Team Jeanette was formed last year when my mother, Jeanette Adelman, age 66, passed away from pancreatic cancer after a 5 month and 12 day fight with the disease. This disease only has a 5% five year survival rate and most victims do not survive their first year. Last year, there were about 15 people on Team Jeanette and this year our group was 39 members strong! The Golden Gallop will always be the event we participate in to honor my mother and all of those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Our Custom Ink tshirts stood out in the crowd and we will wear them proudly (not just for this event). We are already planning our reorder for those that did not get a shirt the first time around. Thanks to Custom Ink for a great product and great service as well as for their contribution to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and the Golden Gallop." - http://www.pancan.org, http://www.goldengallop.org - jjohnson (Sep 11, 2008)
