Team Joey G 2017

"My husband "Joe" is a survivor of a rare form of cancer called Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the plasma cells). He's been in remission for 13 years! In support of him, for the last 4 yrs or so we participate in the Miles for Myeloma 5K in Philadelphia. We are "Team Joey G". Each year I organize the team and I purchase (out of my pocket) t-shirts for all team members. My husbands family are of Hawaiian descent therefore, this year I thought it would be fun to create a Hawaiian theme. I found an image of a tiki displaying a shaka (hand loose), running with a surf board. The perfect image! I typically have a friend print the shirts but the design in past years were only one color. This would be the first year I selected a multiple color theme. The image consisted of about 4 colors. My friend had told me the more colors the more expensive the shirts. I decided to do a search and saw CustomInk in the search results. I was a little hesitant thinking it would be hard to transform the image to a shirt due to the images detail. If the image was able to be transferred I thought it would be expensive because of the multiple colors. The CustomInk website was super easy to use. Much to my amazement. I was able to upload the image and proceeded with mocking up my t-shirt design. Totally shocked, the image was accepted, I proceeded to select the perfect fonts and before you know it, I was able to preview what I thought to be the perfect theme for the t-shirts. Next, to select a color for the shirts. CustomInk allowed me to view the logo on different color t-shirts. Once I saw the design on the red shirt I knew it was the perfect color. My heart was set on this design and color. In order to get an idea on pricing, I proceeded to add a mock order to my cart. When I saw the price I was shocked! The price was much the same as my friend for a single color design. CustomInk not only allowed me to save the design but also sent me an email of the design. A few weeks had passed and we were 3 weeks away from the walk/run. Even though I had prepared the design months prior, everyday life got in the way and I totally forget to place my order. I thought to myself, I would never get the shirts in time for the walk. On that Sunday night (4/2)I went to CustomInk website and saw the estimated arrival date of the shirts would be 4/17. I was extatic that I would receive the shirts in time for the walk which was the 22nd. I placed my order! Received my order confirmation email on 4/2, received an email to approve the design on 4/5. On 4/9 received my shipping confirmation email. The shipping confirmation email confirmed I would receive my order by 4/17. Perfect, that would give me a few days to deliver the shirts to all participants. I received an email on 4/13 alerting me the shirts have been delivered. Not only was I able to purchase shirts with a multi color design but I wanted until the last minute to place an order. The order was shipped and delivered well before the estimate delivery date. Needless to say, my experiece with CustomInk was flawless and well above my expectations. CustomInk, you are a top notch organization and I can’t thank you enough! We received so many compliments on the t-shirts. By far, these shirts were the best ever and we’ve decided the Shaka Tiki will be our design for all future “Team Joey G” events.
