"The Open Space Authority is a small organization that works to preserve the beautiful (and shrinking) natural and wildlife areas in Silicon Valley. Our vision is to provide everyone in our community a way to learn about nature and a place to go out and explore it. Unfortunately, very few people know about us. So, we decided that instead of waiting for our community to discover us, we were going to bring nature to them. Through a serious of Back-to-School Nature Night Open Houses, we are bringing wildlife (yup, real animals) and environmental educators to the communities we serve to help raise awareness. We wanted to make a splash with our new logo and new environmental education program, got nature? What better way to do that than with all of our staff wearing a very cool branded t-shirt. Awesome idea on paper, turns out a little more difficult to execute. Frustrated after trying for weeks to get quotes from several local vendors, I went online on the Thursday before our event (which was scheduled for the following Thursday), found CustomInk and started designing the t-shirts. CustomInk has THE.BEST.WEBSITE.EVER. for choosing and designing t-shirts. I had the designs for both men’s and ladies’ shirts done in less than an hour. I needed a little more information before ordering so called the CustomInk 800 number. Wow. What a great experience. Carol (my first contact) was amazingly friendly, patient, helpful and knowledgeable. She got me set up for our order and even gave me a couple of other options to consider. It was Friday and I couldn’t order quite yet so waited until Monday to follow up. I figured there was no real hurry since we wouldn’t be able to get the shirts for the first Open House but we would have them for the third and final Open House which was scheduled for the end of the month. When I called on Monday to get the order rolling, I got another really cool CustomInker, Chris. As he was helping me finish up my order we had a little time to chat. He asked what the shirts were for and I told him about the Open Space Authority’s mission, our goal of getting people connected to nature and our upcoming Open Houses. I said I was glad just to have the t-shirts for the last event. And that’s when he told me CustomInk would put a super-rush on our order so we could have our shirts for ALL of our events! (Makes me tear up just thinking about how generous and wonderful this surprise was.)
On Thursday, September 19th, two fantastic things happened; 1) our new t-shirts arrived and 2) we held the first Back-to-School Nature Night Open House. We all looked awesome as we welcomed our community and shared a great night together. The shirts were a huge hit and we had multiple requests to purchase one. We have another Nature Night tonight and we are ready to roll in our custom t’s.
Working with CustomInk has been, hands down, one of the best vendor experiences I have ever had. The t-shirts are high quality and the screen printing is crisp, clear and vivid. The customer service is phenomenal. The website product and design pages are revolutionary. Thank you to everyone at CustomInk for making us shine!
