"My father passed away from pancreatic cancer on 8/5/2009, so our extended family decided to walk in the Pancan Detroit walk just a month and a half later. Even though we had a small team and only 1.5 months to raise money, we raised the second highest amount of any team there! We felt his absence greatly but commemorated him with our t-shirts displaying his favorite pastime - boating.
