The Fighting 69th Finish 200 Mile Relay Race

"200 miles, 12 runners, 2 mini vans, in 30 hours -- it's the American Odyssey Relay from Gettysburg, PA, to Washington, DC! This was our team's 9th year running this endurance race. We are "The Fighting 69th" in honor of the 69th Infantry Regiment in the US Army. This photo was taken at the finish line, after we have each run three times over the course of 30 hours, with no showers and no sleep, riding in a mini van when not running. We are exhausted and exhilarated. My niece drew the main component of the t-shirts, a shamrock-clad superhero runner. CustomInk helped finish the design, and worked with us to convert her 4-color drawing into 3 for better printing. The team had tshirts, long sleeve shirts and sweatshirts printed, so we were outfitted at all points during the race. " - (May 02, 2017)
