"This photo is from the finish of the Mass Dash 2013. The Mass Dash, a two-day team adventure race (200 miles across Massachusetts) with a very significant purpose, the Mass Dash brings together hundreds of runners, sharing their time, their thoughts and themselves while racing across Massachusetts on a summer weekend, all dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support family, friends and neighbors in this fight against cancer. Every penny collected goes to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to help the fight against cancer. This year our purpose for why we ran hit close to home. One of our runners recently lost his mother to cancer and my mother-in-law is currently fighting her own fight against cancer. This year we dedicated our run to them and crushed our PR and finished in just over 32 hours. The Mass Dash has raised over $400,000 in 4 years to help the fight against cancer."
