Undefeated in our heads

"We had begun playing in this lacrosse tournament with a 14 man roster. First two games we destroyed even though we didn't even have a goalie! I played goalie for the first time in 5 years. Next thing you know we lose players right and left. Our star defenseman then got hit in the head with a shot, which ended the day for him from the possibility of a concussion. Then day 2 came, and we lost 3 more of our players! The tournament was 7 v 7, and now we had gained a goalie but lost essential mid fielders... So despite everything that set us back from going undefeated we competed with a smile on our faces the entire time.
