"These are the first shirts that will represent Kids Like Us Project. A nonprofit in response to the growing number of youth that are winding up homeless and those who are already entangled in the juvenile court system. The goal of the project is to provide a “home” for any and all youths who are experiencing some early signs of a troubling transition into adulthood. The focus will be different per kid but the goal remains the same; to assist youth in learning the basic life skills for successful living found in the bible, and to help them establish beneficial relationships with mature adults who may or may not have had similar background who can walk alongside them as they transition successfully. We will be planting additional youth centers around SD county and instilling career oriented programs for kids who may not receive that kind of direction at home. Without hope for the youth, then there is no hope for the future.
