"My dad turned 90 on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015 and was surrounded by family and friends (what few he has left) at his home in Granville, Illinois (population 1300). He didn't want us to make a fuss and thought there would be no one who would come to wish him a happy birthday, and he especially doesn't think he should be honored as a veteran of WWII because he "didn't do anything special". Well, I think he had a good day, and the "Limited Edition 1925 Elvin G Russ" t-shirts were definitely a part of that. He was really tickled that we all wore them. He is the one in the center chair wearing a red carnation. Lots of people asked about the shirts and thought we must have spent a lot of money on them, and were they surprised that they were very reasonable.
