"This was for our 2nd Kennedy Center Autism SpectRun; a 5k to raise money and awareness for children diagnosed with Autism. The people in the photo are all employees of the Autism Project, a program through the Kennedy Center which provides children with socialization skills and daily living skills. This year the run was in honor of our boss who passed away last December. She was the face of the Autism Project and did a tremendous amount of work to make the program what it is today. Emma was not only from the state of Texas, but a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. We wanted to make t-shirts this year to honor her memory. Without Emma, none of us would be where we are today and we are not just coworkers, but friends and family. We often refer to ourselves as the KC Fam.
