FLU SHOTS band shirts

"On July 4 2010, our band had a friend take some hi-res pictures of us at an outdoor show. Since then, I have been looking for ideas on how to use these pictures to exploit our bass player's face in a funny way. I went to every local printer looking for suggestions on how to make a shirt, or a giant sticker of his face for the side of our truck, or something equally ridiculous. They all said I had to use a "poster" or "cartoon" effect on the pic to get a usable result. I was never satisfied with that answer so I finally tried my own design and sent it to Custom Ink. I figured I would have to be happy with marginal results because I'm an armature that tried to merge two pictures that really didn't match up very well. I was nervous when I opened the box but they came out awesome! When we arrived at our Christmas gig, three of us had the shirts on and hidden under our jackets. I wrapped one as a gift for the bass player, so while he was distracted opening his gift, we all took off our jackets. He was laughing hysterically as he strutted around the stage showing everyone, totally oblivious that we were ALL wearing them. Once he noticed it was almost too much to handle!
