FTC Team 7266 The Dragonettes qualify for State Championships!

"FTC Team 7266, The Dragonettes, are an all-girls robotics team from Maryland who compete in the international competition FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). On Sunday, February 7th, we competed at a local qualifier for a chance to qualify for the next level of competition, Maryland State Championships. The day was extremely successful--we won 3rd place for the PTC Design Award for applying industrial design to our robot and 1st place Connect Award for spreading robotics and STEM with both the local and international community (the picture shows us after winning the award). We also qualified for Maryland State Championships by winning the 3rd place Inspire Award, the top honor that is given to the most exemplary teams that have scored highly in all judging categories! We took this qualifier as an opportunity to redeem ourselves after a couple other rough qualifiers that didn't go so well. We aggressively prepared for this one, since it was our last chance to qualify for State Championship, and came to compete as an "upgraded" and more evolved version of our team--complete with new shirts! We ordered these new team shirts so that they would come for this qualifier, and they have been everything we wanted and more! The team loves our new shirts because they are comfortable and an exciting change from our old shirts.
