Mount View Elementary Collaborative Music Ensemble

"The Mount View Elementary Collaborative Music Ensemble is pictured below. This is the school's first-ever extracurricular music program. The ensemble is made up of students in grades 3 to 6 and meets two times a week all year long. Prior to this program the school's culture around music was almost non-existent. Over the past two years, my colleague and I have been steadily rebuilding the program. Our vision with the before school music group is to provide free and accessible music education. Everything has been provided for the students, the rehearsal space, the instruments and now their incredible hoodies from Custom Ink. It has been a delight to see the students not only grow in their musical ability but their ability to collaborate and interact across grade levels. Thanks to the school PTA and a few generous parents and school faculty members we were able to fund the project entirely. We wanted to reward our students with something of their own and to be proud of the work they had done. The hoodies not only have the design of our ensemble (original design!) but they are personalized with the students' names. My experience with ordering the hoodies was wonderful. It was all done over the phone in a matter of minutes. The associate who helped me was kind, patient, and incredibly helpful.
