Sazón - The Premiere Acrobatic Salsa Team at Saint Louis University

"Sazón is a type of seasoning often found in Latin American cuisine. It combines cilantro, annatto, garlic, and salt in order to create an unforgettable, savory experience. Much like this spice, the dancers on the team come from around the world. They represent Chile, the Czech Republic, India, Iraq, Israel, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, and the United States (California, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin). Audiences are captivated by their ACROBATIC routines with a variety of Salsa, Bachata, and Cha-Cha-Cha rhythms. Dancers repeatedly find themselves being tossed into the air, turned upside down, and on top of their partners' shoulders. Make sure to be on the lookout for their lifts, dips, tricks, and Sazón! The team is comprised of undergraduate, graduate, and SPS students from both the humanities and STEM-related fields. The team is not funded by the university.
