"Diabetes is a deadly condition to live with and awareness for the condition is not often well spread. There are millions of Americans living and battling with Diabetes every single day. The Diabetes walk is a yearly event that takes place all around The United States. On September 28th 2013, I walked for my mother. Since I was born my mother has struggled with Diabetes. It is a hardship and a horrible condition to live with. Around 4 years ago my mother’s condition started to deteriorate and diabetes took over her life. She began to lose sight and her medical condition worsened. My mother is now legally blind due to this gruesome illness. I walk to spread awareness throughout the community and to show support to the one person I treasure the most. I am thankful for my supportive team of family, friends and co-workers who are constantly helping spread awareness of this serious condition. I will continue this path to improvement and walk for this cause until we find a cure!
