Team Jet Pack, Dead2Red Sea Relay Race, 242km, *Best Embassy Team!*

"The Dead2Red Sea Relay is a 242km race that begins at Wadi Mujib bridge by the Dead Sea (Jordan) and finishes in Aqaba by the Red Sea. The competition is in it's 16th year of existence and boasts participation from international, national, and local teams of amateur and professionals runners. Team Jet Pack (pictured) includes military and civilian personnel from the US Embassy in Jordan as well as the United Nations. This team of Americans took 4th place overall out of 38 total teams and won "The Best Embassy Team" in the 2013 competition with a race time of 14:35:17. The race began at 4 pm on a Thursday, and Team Jet Pack, running through the night, crossed the finish line as the sun was coming up just after 630 am Friday morning.
