Passion for Printing
Our two biggest passions are the art of printing and how it brings your ideas to life. We’ve been perfecting our printing techniques for almost 20 years and we’ve learned a thing or two along the way. That’s why we use multiple printing technologies and choose the best one for your unique project to make sure your order comes out perfect.
Screen Printing - The Gold Standard
Over 90% of the shirts we print at Custom Ink use the classic, screen printing method, so you know we’ve got the process down to a science.
For every design our printers create a stencil (a.k.a. a “screen”) and use it to apply thick layers of ink to the printing surface. Each color is applied using a separate stencil, layered on one at a time, until they all come together to create the final look of your design. Because this method is done by hand, our printers can even print on uneven surfaces like can coolers, water bottles, and mugs.
Screen printing requires a little extra preparation time and materials, and therefore has some minimum order quantities, but it's by far the best option for bright vibrant designs, dark shirts, and specialty items.
Digital Printing - Display Your Details
Details can make the difference in a great design. For products with a high level of detail, including photos, there’s no better way to go than digital printing. This method takes your image straight from the computer and prints it directly on your clothing.
Digital printing requires no physical setup, and therefore doesn’t require minimum quantities on orders. Simply look for the “no-minimum” callout on our website for products that have been thoroughly tested and approved for digital printing. We’ll never print a product if we know it won’t turn out perfectly, so when you choose digital printing, you know you’re getting the best results down to the very last detail.
Embroidery - Stitch it Up
Looking for a handmade look and feel? No problem. Our embroidery service will sew your design directly into your garment using multicolored thread for a classic homespun style. Minimum order quantity does apply for embroidery, but at only 6 items for polos and 12 for hats you can get your group or business looking professional in no time.
Laser Engraving and Debossing - Leave an Impression
Create premium promotional products with these high-end decoration methods. Our laser engraving decoration method burns your image directly into the product either by burning the first layer of the product itself or removing a layer of color to remove the material underneath.
Debossing presses your image into the product, leaving an imprint of your design behind.
Custom laser engraving and debossing both are available on a select number of products and are also subject to minimum order quantities. Check out our promotional product offering to find some of our favorite options for these high-end decoration methods that are sure to leave your group looking their best.
