Ink of the Week winner

“Be Like Brit Race Team at Falmouth” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“We had 10 amazing runners from the Be Like Brit Race Team who ran in this year’s Falmouth Road Race! The team fundraised over $10,000 to support the children in our orphanage in Haiti!

The Orphanage was built in loving memory of Britney Gengel, who perished in the 2010 Haiti earthquake while on a service trip through her college, Lynn University.

Be Like Brit honors Britney’s memory and legacy of compassion to those less fortunate, and was inspired by a text message she sent to her mother just 3 hours before the quake claimed her life.

“They love us so much and everyone is so happy. They love what they have and they work so hard to get nowhere, yet they are all so appreciative. I want to move here and start an orphanage myself.“

After two and a half years of construction, Be Like Brit was dedicated and blessed in an ecumenical celebration of life and love on January 5, 2013. On what would have been Brit’s 23rd birthday, Be Like Brit brought in their first child, a three year old boy. Today, Be Like Brit is home to 48 children, and employs more than 50 full-time employees. Hundreds of American and Canadian college students and other volunteers visit or volunteer at Be Like Brit each year. Through the service work of others, we can all be more inspired to “Be Like Brit”.”

Ink of the Week winner

“For Pete’s Sake” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“My father, Pete Burke, passed away suddenly in April. He lived at the beach in Brigantine, NJ, so we decided to have a seaside memorial/party for him in August. His 15 grandchildren, five children and over a hundred of his friends, neighbors and family attended the event.

My dad was quite a philanthropist, and donated much of his time and business expertise to the LEAP Academy Charter School in Camden, NJ. After his passing, his workplace, friends and family started the Peter. J. Burke, Jr. Scholarship Fund at the charter school to help graduates fulfill their dream of going to college. We sold the shirts at my dad’s memorial to raise money for the fund and to continue my his legacy. Hence, the motto on the shirt, “For Pete’s Sake”.

Pictured in this photo are his grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. We took a few serious photos and then told them to be silly. It’s much more fun to be silly, and their Pop-Pop would’ve loved it!

The shirts were a huge hit. The process of designing them was simple and stress-free. We received them faster than I predicted.

We plan to have this event each year to celebrate my dad’s life. I will be designing a new shirt for each party, so we can continue raising money for the scholarship fund.”

CrossFit Hardcore @ The 2014 CrossFit Games

“CrossFit Hardcore @ The 2014 CrossFit Games” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“Our gym’s team qualified for the 2014 CrossFit Games in Carson, California. We ended up in the top 30 out over 200,000 athletes worldwide. Our athletes had to wear Reebok team apparel for the competitions but we supported them by getting the brightest customized shirts possible from CustomInk- so they could easily see us cheering them on in the stands!! Everyone loved the shirts and apparently ESPN did too because they televised our fans many times!!

Our experience working with CustomInk was top notch. We had an incredibly tough timeframe to deal with and amazingly 2.5 days from placing the order we had our shirts in-hand. The entire team was amazing- from our consultant (Sylvio) who was very supportive and responsive to the design/production team who paid close attention to the details and our design. It was refreshing to deal with a company that really seems to care about your order, can deliver what they promise, and is there to support you every step of the way.

We are fans of CustomInk and have already referred friends.”

Ink of the Week Winner

“Galloway Family Reunion” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“The photo that I have enclosed is a collage in an effort to completely be able to show off our CustomInk tee shirts as well as my family’s team spirit. The picture in the top left is a group of family members as we prepare to go zip lining, the picture to the right of it is two family member showing off the front and the back of the shirt so you can get the whole concept of the creation, the picture just below it is the over sixty crowd making the statement that we are ready for some fun, and the picture on the bottom is most of the family members ready to get the party started. Our event was our 52nd annual Family Reunion it took place at the Wintergreen Resort in Virginia on the weekend of July 18-20, 2014 we had more than one hundred family members in attendance. We had a blast;a meet and greet icebreaker social on Friday night, games and photos on Saturday morning midday we met for bungee jumping, zip lining, tubbing, and much fun in the sun with the cool mountain breeze. Saturday evening everyone cleaned up for the Family Gala I might add we looked pretty good! Sunday morning we met for breakfast, prayer, fellowship and the selecting of the committee for the 2015 reunion.

I first worked with CustomInk in 2008 when my daughter was graduating from UNC Chapel Hill and I wanted the family to stand out and that we did! I was so impressed the next year I ordered our family reunion tee shirt from you and have done so every year since and the results are always outstanding. I don’t ever see myself ordering from anywhere else. I love customink.com!!!”

Ink of the Week Winner

“Color Me Custom!” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“I submitted an original artwork for our recent Relay For Life event in Hanover, Pa. Because I created a zentangle design in black and printed it on white t-shirts through Custom Ink, friends were able to customize their own shirts by using permanent markers or fabric paints. They loved this idea! One group even had a family party to color in their shirts. They have already asked me to design something for next year’s Relay. We will definitely be working with Custom Ink again!”
