Custom Ink’s office Chili Cookoff has always been an exciting event for amateur cooks and hungry Inkers. There are lots of chilis to try and great prizes to be won. There was even a trucker hat design contest for the official Chili Cookoff logo, and with over twenty entries, the winning design below took the cake… or should we say, the chili.
While prepping a chili recipe, we tried to think of a good name for a cookoff team and remembered some really funny names from entrants in years past. Plus, our customers who have entered their own cookoffs have made shirts with clever names for their chilis and cookoff teams. So after perusing customer orders and past cookoff entries, and brainstorming with colleagues, we compiled a list of our favorites to share.
Check them out. Feel free to borrow one for your cookoff t-shirts or personalized aprons and look your best at your chili cookoff extravaganza, so that if you don’t win, you’ll still be stylin’.

Chili Cookoff Team Names FAQ
How do we pick a chili cookoff team name?
Heat puns work best, like Red Hot Chili Preppers or Holy Jalapeño. Pick one the whole team will be happy to wear.
Can we put our chili’s name on the apron?
Yes. Many teams put the team name on the apron and the chili name on the shirts.
When should we order our shirts?
Order a few weeks before you need them. That leaves time to approve the design, collect sizes, and have the shirts arrive in time.
Can I get help with the design?
Yes. Start in the Design Lab, and Custom Ink’s Inkers can help with fonts, colors, and placement.
